Acoustic Ambient from Denmark. See here on bandcamp.
I’m not typically an ambient music fan. To be honest, I’m not sure I’ve ever thought about acoustic ambient as a genre before I discovered Western Skies Motel. They changed my ears.
This is the sound of an old black and white photograph. This is me waking up in Newcastle, TX as a child and doing chores before school on a cold December morning. This is the diner in a small town, just turning on the lights and putting coffee on.
Lately, because of politics, I’ve been on the hunt for anything that relaxes me wholesomely. I can get worked up. I love that this music works for me. It sounds great on my speakers and facilitates a learning mood. It’s both relaxing and intriguing. That’s kinda’ how I always want to be.
I’ve been listening to at least one song from this record every day. I have come to close my eyes when it plays. It makes the coffee taste even better. I recommend it.
