I left the democrats after 30 years after the election in 2024. The reason is projection. If you aren’t aware of what that is, you might be guilty of it. I hope you read this and learn and take with you some things that might help you not be an asshole in the future.

Britannica includes this tasty morsel about projection. Let’s start here: “Empirical studies of defense mechanisms have supported clinical observations about projection, including the idea that it is one of many universal psychological defenses that evolve and mature in normal development. Understanding projection has been critically important to psychiatry, clinical psychology, counseling, and the mental health professions generally. It has also been cited as an explanatory principle in political science, sociology, anthropology, and other social sciences.”

I like that paragraph but it says you’re going to see it everywhere. It helps to learn what it is for most fields. I see it on BlueSky a lot. Here’s some examples.

The democrats project on me that I am privileged, a brown noser, and idiot, brainless fool, yada yada. I do not owe these folks my life story when this happens, just a block.

I left the democrats because I got projection anytime I asked a question running up to the election. I was told to “shut up vote blue” every single day by democratic commentators and pundits. I ended up being right and they ended up being way wrong, They’re so insecure and narcissistic they might have a hard time looking inward. It would mean admitting to themselves they’re guilty of what they project. I have not had good luck with uppity liberals willing to admit they’re wrong. They are much like MAGAs in that regard. You can make bookends for the same shelf out of a MAGA and a liberal now. It’s because of projection. They believe things they do not know about other people. Both do.

This sure works nice for the Billionaires. Why? well, because of projection we won’t ever realize there’s tons more of us than them. We are all divided by brand names. MAGA and Liberal are brand names now too..fascism. It’s one party rule, just has two brand names.Phones. Games. Computers. Instruments.Food. Church is a brand. Ice chests. Cars. Software. Even tv shows. All brand names that divide projectionists. Yet, there’s small tight knit group of billionaires who disagree on all kinds of shit but managed to work together to get trump in office. If they have anything on us, it’s that.
